Welcome to FACS Department. We have two certificate programs in this department.
1. ProStart
a. Introduction to Food Preparation and Hospitality Management
b. Advance Food and Hospitality Management
c. Food and Hospitality Management
d. Food and Hospitality Practicum
In the first two classes the students will take the Pro Start Exams and work toward earning hours for their COA certification. In the third class the students will learn about Serv Safe and take the exam that can be used in the food industry.
2. Child Development Accreditation
a. Child Growth and Development – Birth to Adolescence(Learning about Children)
b. Learning Environment for Preschoolers(Working with Children I
c. Portfolio and CDA Internship 1(Working with Children II)
d. CDA Internship 2 or Dual Enrollment ( Independent & Family Living)
