Meet The PE Teachers

Lawrence F. Ashman, M.S.  Mr. Ashman

Mr. Ashman is entering his 22nd year as a Physical Education teacher and coach at C. Milton Wright High School.  In addition to serving as the Department Chair, Mr. Ashman has taught 9th grade Physical Education, 10-12 Physical Education, Weight Training and Health classes as well as coached Varsity Football, Swimming, and Cross Country.   He currently is coaching Varsity Football where he serves as the Defensive Coordinator, Wide Receivers Coach and Assistant Head Coach.  Mr. Ashman attended college at East Stroudsburg University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and a Post-Baccalaureate degree in Physical Education from Towson University.  He went on to get his master’s degree in Administration from the University of Phoenix.

In Mr. Ashman spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife who is a special education teacher at CMW and 3 children.  He has a daughter attending West Virginia University and two Boys that are involved in Football, Basketball and Lacrosse for the local rec program.


Michelle M. Carson, M.S.  Mr. Carson

Mrs. Carson began her teaching career at C. Milton Wright High School in 2001. Mrs. Carson teaches both health and Physical education classes at CMW.  She earned her bachelor’s and master’s Degrees from Towson University.  She has had the privilege of coaching the Sports for Life Bocce, Bowling, and Basketball teams for over 10 years.  Her goal for her students is to have fun while practicing healthful behaviors in both Health and Physical Education classes.  When Mrs. Carson is not in school, you can find her out and about with her family on new adventures.   





Megan J. Miller, M.S.  Mrs. Miller
Mrs. Miller earned a BA in Business Administration as well as a BA in Economics from Western Maryland College and worked for several years before returning to Towson University to obtain a post-baccalaureate degree in Physical Education as well as a Masters in Secondary Education. She has been teaching since 2009 and when she is not at school she enjoys spending her time with her family and pups.



Richard S. Keech, M.S.  Mr. Keech
Mr. Keech has been a physical education teacher at C Milton Wright high school since 1994. He first completed his undergraduate work at Michigan State University earning his first bachelor’s degree in Business Communications in 1989. After working in the private sector for a few years, he attended Towson University to obtain his second bachelor’s degree in teacher education physical education in 1994. During Mr. Keech’s tenure at C Milton Wright high school he has coached football, baseball, volleyball, and track. Mr. Keech enjoys spending time with his family, boating on the Chesapeake Bay, and watching Michigan State athletics.



Dina M. Lastner, M.S.  Ms. Lastner

Ms. Dina Lastner started her teaching career in 1997 and is an alumnus of C. Milton Wright (’91). Ms. Lastner is currently the Fellowship of Christian Athletes advisor, and has coached women’s lacrosse, soccer, and track and field. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, family, friends, and fur babies. Ms. Lastner enjoys endurance racing and is an endurance and nutrition coach. She enjoys adventure and endurance sports and has competed in numerous races/activities throughout the country. She is an advocate for animals, the less fortunate, military, police forces, MD Special Olympics, and proud of her volunteer and recruitment efforts for the MD Law Enforcement Torch Run.
